Wildly Me: My Journey in Conservation & Adventure
Hi, I’m Tesa Mendoza
As a Wildlife Conservation Biologist, I’ve spent over three years leading impactful projects aimed at preserving endangered species and their ecosystems. From rehabilitating and releasing howler monkeys in Costa Rica to conducting research in remote locations, my journey has been fueled by a deep commitment to protecting wildlife. I believe in the power of collaboration—working alongside local communities and conservation teams to develop sustainable, science-backed solutions.

Saving Howler Monkeys Together
Saving Howler Monkeys Together is a nationwide initiative dedicated to giving orphaned, rescued, and rehabilitated howler monkeys a second chance at life in the wild. While we had been caring for rescued monkeys for years, we launched this program in 2023 to improve our ability to successfully rewild baby howlers and other rescued individuals. Through expert medical care, specialized enrichment, and the nurturing of essential survival skills, we prepare these monkeys for a future back in their natural habitat. Every howler deserves the chance to thrive in the wild, and this program is making that possible.
